The founder, Robert Cupery,
is the past Northrop Director of Maintenance. Born in Friesland, Wisconsin,
Cupery left his tiny midwest town at a young age to accept a job with
the California-based aviation company.
As a result his career with
Northrop, precision had become a way of life for him and this is
the principle philosophy of AWR. Cupery developed
his unique hard coating process to repair landing light and wing tip
lenses at the request Falcon Jet Corporation over 17 years ago.
Cupery was both honored and privileged as the Flight Engineer under
the pilot who flew Air Force One where everything had to be adamantly PERFECT.
Being constantly directed by such an exacting maintenance environment
has made AWR "The Corporate Jet Window and Lens Specialist. We are known for expert quality, service, cost control and on time
delivery by industry leaders such as Raytheon, Gulfstream, Cessna, Dassault
Falcon Jet, Bombardier, Boeing, British Aerospace, and Lockheed. AWR
conducts Federal Aviation Administration approved seminars for inspectors
that are mandated to fully understand the stress tolerances put upon
the windows of today's high speed and technologically-advanced aircraft.
The Founder and CFO credits
much of the AWR's success to the expertise and focused protocol of his
spouse, who serves as company President.
She understands the needs and concerns
of clients after having flown herself. Kathi stays abreast of issues
confronting pilots by staying active in several aviation-oriented associations
including NBAA and PAMA. She is also on the board of Women in Aviation,
City of Angels Chapter. Prior to leading AWR, she founded and directed
Manhattan Personnel in Manhattan Beach, her own personnel agency near
Redondo Reach, California where she was born and raised.
